Educational Qualification:
- Post No.1: 10th Passed, Syrang Certificate granted under Inland Vessels Act, 1917 or Merchant Shipping Act, 1958., Two years experience as Syrang-in-Charge of a registered vessel of twenty horse power.
- Post No.2: 10th Passed, Knowledge of Swimming, One year experience on a registered vessel.
- Post No.3: 10th Passed, Knowledge of Swimming, Certificate of having completed pre-sea training course.
